We were briefed by OB-Gyn Dr. Lyra Ruth Clemente-Chua with regards to the Women's Health Center. She told us that it was her vision to have an entire section devoted solely to women and their health concerns. "We'd like to provide services from womb-to-tomb, so to speak," Dr. Chua explained. Mammograms, ultrasounds, pap smears, blood work... with The Medical City's WHC, everything can be availed of in one place. You don't have to go to another floor or area to have a blood test or whatever else is required for your work-up. It's a one-stop shop.

Albeit Dr. Chua showed us many machines and explained a variety of procedures, we were all particularly interested in the 3D and 4D Ultrasound. We had a pregnant fellow mommy blogger onboard who was willing to demonstrate. When I was pregnant, 3D and 4D Ultrasound weren't in vogue yet. All I had was the regular black and white 2D Ultrasound wherein I could never understand the images.
